Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 2026

These terms cover your use of Otodesq — the till software you install, the cloud services it syncs with, and the online storefront. Using any of them means agreeing to what follows.

1. Your data is yours

Your catalogue, sales, customers and staff records belong to you. We store and process them to run the service you are paying for, and for nothing else. We do not sell them, and we do not use one merchant's trade to inform another's. You can export your data, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything in it.

2. Your account and your terminals

You are responsible for who you give access to — staff PINs, dashboard sign-ins, and the terminals you register. Each plan allows a certain number of active terminals; retiring a terminal frees its place. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

3. Importing from other systems

Otodesq can import your existing products and customers from systems you already use, including Shopify and QuickBooks Online. These connectors are read-only: we read what you authorise us to read, and we never write anything back to those systems, change them, or place orders in them.

You authorise each connection yourself, on that provider's own screen, and you can revoke it at any time from their side or by disconnecting from ours. Revoking stops any further reading immediately. Data already imported stays in your Otodesq account, because it is then part of your own records — you can edit or delete it like anything else you own.

An import shows you a preview before it writes anything, and nothing is committed until you confirm it.

4. Offline operation

Otodesq is built to keep selling when the internet is not there, which means each terminal holds a working copy of your data and syncs when it can. Trade recorded offline reaches the cloud once a connection returns. Signing a terminal out or re-registering it to a different business clears that local copy, so push your work up first — the app tells you what has not yet been synced before it does anything irreversible.

5. Payment and plans

Subscriptions are billed on the cycle you choose. If a payment fails we will tell you and give you a grace period rather than cutting you off at once. If a licence lapses, the till keeps letting you read your data; what stops is syncing and new trade.

6. What we do not promise

We work hard to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Otodesq is a record of your trade, not a substitute for your own bookkeeping or tax advice, and the figures it produces are only as good as what is entered into it. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

7. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Otodesq whenever you like and ask for your account to be deleted. We may suspend an account that is being used to break the law or to harm other users, and we will tell you why if we do.

8. Changes and contact

If these terms change materially we will tell account holders rather than quietly editing this page. Questions go to support@otodesq.com.
